Deep Body for Bulk Crops
At 300 mm the crate carries leafy and root crops in the volume they are sold in, which reduces the number of crates a grower or packer needs per tonne and the handling moves that go with it.
Stacks Loaded, Nests Empty
Tapered walls give the crate two positions: on the rim when full, inside the crate below when empty, so the return consignment takes a fraction of the height it occupied loaded.
Slotted Base for Drainage
The base is slotted rather than closed, so wash water and juice from damaged produce leave the crate instead of standing under a heavy load that would press it against the fruit.
Reinforced Rim Under a Higher Load
The rim carries the tier above, and at 300 mm the centre of gravity of a loaded crate is higher than on the shallower depths. The rim and corner posts are sized for that geometry rather than scaled down from a shallow mould.
