Q: How does the lid open, and does it get in the way?
A: The lid is split into two leaves on moulded hinges. Open one leaf for a quick pick or both for a full load. Either leaf can be folded back down inside the crate, so an open crate takes no more height than a closed one and still stacks. No tools, no clips, no detached parts.
Q: Why is the lid joint zigzag instead of a straight line?
A: A straight seam is a continuous gap running the full width of the crate - the shortest route in for dust, rain and wash water, and the weakest line in the lid. A zigzag joint replaces that gap with a row of overlapping teeth: water has to travel a much longer path to get in, and the teeth bridge the centre of the lid so it stays flat when another crate is stacked on top.
Q: What load does it carry, and how high can it be stacked?
