Statistics from the Pallet Professional Committee show that currently, pallet usage in China is primarily limited to internal company circulation. For manufacturing companies, their pallets rarely leave the premises, and their use is confined to handling between the company's warehouse and the transportation process. For logistics companies, pallet allocation is also limited to internal use, and a smooth pallet circulation mechanism has not yet been established.
The development of pallets can be said to have progressed in tandem with forklifts. The combined use of forklifts and pallets has created an effective loading and unloading system, significantly improving efficiency. Statistically, pallets are almost exclusively used in conjunction with forklifts. On average, each forklift carries 800-1000 pallets.
Surveys reveal that the vast majority of companies' pallets circulate internally, resulting in multiple manual handling processes for products. This significantly reduces work efficiency, increases product distribution costs, and consequently lowers product competitiveness in the market.
Due to the lack of standardized pallet specifications, pallet usage in China cannot be compared with international transport equipment such as internationally used containers. In order to adapt to relevant international transportation tools, companies have to order pallets from pallet manufacturers that are not compatible with the specifications used in their operations, thereby increasing their export costs and reducing the international competitiveness of their products.
