Material: Typically made from high-impact, durable thermoplastics Polypropylene (PP). These materials offer excellent resistance to impact, moisture, chemicals, and temperature variations, ensuring a long service life.
Stackable with a Reinforced Rim
The rim carries the base of the crate above, and the steel wire keeps that rim flat under a stack. A plastic rim creeps under sustained load, which is why stacks in a warm warehouse lose alignment over a season; the wire limits that movement.
Handholds on Both End Walls
Oval handholds are cut into both end walls, so a loaded crate can be lifted from either end without hands touching the rim where produce sits.
Vented Walls and Slotted BaseSlot rows on all four walls and a slotted base let air move through a loaded crate and let wash water and juice drain away. Produce cooled in the crate is not handled twice, and the crate can be rinsed between loads.
Steel Wire Set into the Rim
A steel wire runs the full perimeter of the top rim and is moulded into the plastic rather than fitted afterwards. Where a pallet load of crates is ratcheted down or a crate is levered apart on a loading bay, the wire takes the load instead of the plastic, and the rim returns to shape.
